DAWN CORMIER-HAZEN, ND., HBSc.

Dr. Dawn Cormier-Hazen has been practicing Naturopathic Medicine in Stratford and area since 1993. She graduated in 1989 from the University of Waterloo with an honors degree in Science and Health Studies. From there she attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where she graduated a four year post-graduate program as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. She was honored with the “Best Clinician” award in her graduating class. She went on to join a dynamic multi-doctor facility where she trained in Health Coach Systems developed by Dr. Mark Percival, DC, ND. Early in her career, she brought to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine their first Obstetrical Curriculum. She developed and taught Obstetrics at the college from 1995-1998.

Four years later Dawn Cormier-Hazen owned and operated her own Naturopathic Health Care Clinic in Stratford, Ontario. Sunrise Health Services has now grown to facilitate four Naturopathic Doctors, a nutritionist and a massage therapist. She dedicates most of her time at this facility coaching and treating naturopathic clients, and lives her passion every day helping people find dynamic health and emotional well being.

Dawn’s passion for natural medicine began at a young age. She has studied many forms of scientific, energetic and traditional forms of medicine. A very influential part to her journey in Natural Medicine came from helping her mother fully recover from Meniere’s Disease through natural therapies. Her areas of specialty include nutritional medicine, biological medicine, detoxification, biological dentistry and heavy metal detoxification, dark-field microscopy, laboratory testing, acupuncture/laser, mesotherapy injections for pain management, allergy testing, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peri-menopausal management.

She has attended and continues to attend numerous post-graduate seminars expanding her specialties and bringing to her clients current assessments and treatments in naturopathic medicine. One of which is her specialty in treating Autism spectrum disorders. She also is extensively trained in EAV diagnostics with The Energetix International College of BioEnergetic Medicine and continues to upgrade. She is also trained in a very specialized Metabolic Typing Diet called Healthy and Active from Germany.

A mother of four children, she went on to develop and open another clinic with her husband Dr. Ward Hazen, chiropractor and acupuncturist called Matrix Facial Rejuvenation Clinic. This clinic offers the latest in natural anti-aging and rejuvenation techniques including – mesotherapy for face-lifting and wrinkle reduction/prevention, acupuncture, detoxification, anti-aging nutrition and supplementation, facial toning and much more.

Dawn Cormier-Hazen is currently a member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Medicine. She enjoys giving educational seminars relating to health prevention and naturopathic health approaches, especially when it comes to improving the health of children. In her spare time she enjoys, hiking, soccer, hockey, cooking, kayaking and learning.
